
Meet Atlee Witt
“Atlee Witt is an MD/PhD student at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine whose interests center on the clinical application of advanced imaging techniques to better understand the pathophysiology of neurodegenerative diseases. At the Vanderbilt University Institute of Imaging Science, her graduate work focused on spinal cord MRI in individuals with multiple sclerosis.
Before attending medical and graduate school, Atlee received her Neuroscience and Medicine, Health, and Science degrees from Vanderbilt University, where she cultivated technical and analytical expertise she intends to translate into her future career in radiology. She has enjoyed extending this multidisciplinary background to the study of ancient populations, most recently through ongoing work investigating cardiovascular and periodontal disease in Egyptian mummified remains.
