2028 World Mummy Congress to be held in Copenhagen

The University of Copenhagen in Denmark will host the 12th World Congress on Mummy Studies will from 8^th to 12^th August 2028

As we transition into a new phase of congress organization, we are excited to announce that the WMSS Board will handle the logistics for the 2028 World Mummy Congress and all subsequent meetings.

Planning for the 2028 World Mummy Congress in Copenhagen is advancing steadily. The WMSS Board is working with local colleagues to finalize venue arrangements and will issue a formal call for abstracts later this year. The 2028 Congress will feature thematic sessions spanning bioarchaeology, paleoradiology, ancient genomics, conservation, and the ethics of mummy research.
